As an award-winning creative producer Laura drives content from conception through completion. She develops projects, creates strategy, puts together a cost-effective production, runs the set, and delivers a high quality product that achieves its potential.
Laura is the Co-Founder of Shooting Films, a New York based independent production company, which has made the award-winning films The Living, And After All, Time and Public Speaking. The latest film is the widely anticipated documentary Active Measures. Since starting the company in 2012, Laura actively freelances on films, commercials, new media and music videos either as a producer, line producer, production manager or assistant director. At least 30 million people have seen something Laura has worked on.
Laura was Director of Business Development and Production for a privately-held independent film and commercial production company based in Tribeca. There she wrote and designed materials for films, sourced and pitched new business, maintained client relationships, and contributed to the creative production of projects.
Laura dove into the film industry after graduating from the Film Track program at The Lee Strasberg Institute in New York where she studied filmmaking and acting. Outside of school she worked with Project Welles on the development and marketing for Orson Welles’ unfinished film, The Other Side of the Wind.
Beforehand Laura was an Assistant at Goldman Sachs in the merchant banking division and an Account Executive at a publishing company. She earned her bachelor’s degree with concentrations in psychology and sociology from the University of Connecticut in 2006. While at school she produced and co-hosted a live TV show on the campus station, worked on her independent study, and was a teaching assistant.
